Moss Pole for Pothos & Philodendron

Pothos and philodendrons trail happily, but give them a pole to climb and their leaves grow noticeably larger. Climbing tells the plant it is reaching for light, and the aerial roots that grip a moist surface help support bigger growth. A moss pole for pothos or a moss pole for philodendron is the easiest way to turn a trailing vine into a full, upright plant.

Choosing a Size

  • XS (1.5"): cuttings, small starts and compact pots. XS kits include 4 segments and 4 bases.
  • S (2"): our pick for most pothos and younger philodendrons.
  • M (2.5"): larger climbing philodendrons and established aroids.

Built to Extend

Every kit stacks 12-inch segments with coupler pins. When your vine tops out, add an S, M or L moss pole extension without disturbing the roots. The kit ships empty, so fill it with coco coir chips, sphagnum moss or your own mix.

Tip: attach the vine with soft plant ties or velcro and point the aerial roots toward the pole. See our moss pole FAQ or shop all moss poles for plants.
